She is certified as an Iyengar instructor through the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the U.S. She began practicing yoga in 1981 and attends several senior-level Iyengar workshops each year. Karen believes yoga should be for everyone and inclusive of all bodies, ages, and abilities. She helps her students to increase their strength and flexibility.
Paulette Schwerdt’s yoga journey spans nearly three decades, much of it right here at YCL. She has completed her RYT-200 certification and is currently working towards her RYT-500 certification. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where students can explore their own mind/body/breath connections through basic poses focusing on core strength and restorative poses to quiet the mind.
