Paulette’s yoga journey spans nearly three decades, much of it right here at YCL. Yoga has allowed her to continue the athletic pursuits and gardening she loves. As she transitioned from the world of corporate finance to academia, yoga became an important grounding force. Decades of athletics took a toll on her body, and two hip replacements later, yoga became the place she rebuilt her mind/body/breath connection.
As retirement from academia drew closer, Paulette completed her RYT-200 certification and is currently working towards her RYT-500 certification. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where students can explore their own mind/body/breath connections through basic poses focusing on core strength and restorative poses to quiet the mind. She is so grateful to her own yoga teachers and the opportunity to be part of YCL as a teacher; it feels like “coming home”.
